Northwest Mosquito and Vector Control District practices an Integrated Vector Management (IVM) approach to controlling vectors within our  district boundaries. The World Health Organization calls IVM "a rational decision-making process that encourages optimal use of resources for efficient, cost-effective and sustainable vector control." The district uses several techniques to better control vectors within the district boundaries including, public outreach, surveillance, and environmentally conscious control methods.
