Multiple Wide Area Mosquito Treatments Planned

Due to elevated mosquito abundance, the Northwest Mosquito and Vector Control District (NWMVCD) will be conducting multiple wide area larval and adult  mosquito control applications on August 9th, 2024.

In the City of Lake Elsinore a wide area larval spray application will be conducted between the hours of 3:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. at the following location: the residential neighborhood located south west of Grand Avenue and Ortega Highway. NWMVCD will be using VectoBac WDG (EPA# 73049-56) for this treatment. Please see the attached image for the exact spray route

Mosquito spray route Lake Elsinore- 8/9/2024

Due to the detection of West Nile virus (WNV) activity within mosquito samples and elevated mosquito abundance, the district will perform an adult mosquito spray treatment in the City of Corona to lower the mosquito population affecting residential areas. The spray application will be conducted between the hours of 3:00 am to 6:00 am at the following location: the residential area situated between W. Ontario Avenue and Main Street.  The product for this treatment will be AqualReslin (EPA#432-796). Please see the attached image for the exact spray route.

Notification signs about these sprays will be posted in the neighborhoods on August 7th, 2024.
